About the MHCRC
It’s evident that electronic communication is playing a growing and
critical role in our lives. More and more information we get from mass media,
the internet, radio, broadcast and cable television, affects and sometimes
defines what we know about the world around us. However, commercial cable
doesn’t always reflect the concerns or interests of the community it
reaches.
Who
speaks for the community?
Who
sees to it that cable benefits the people who pay for it?
Who
ensures that citizens have access to this powerful communications tool?
This important job falls to a volunteer citizen commission and its professional
staff, that acts as advocates for the public, called the MHCRC.
